Book Giveaway!

To brighten up this wintry January day, I thought it would be a good idea to have a giveaway on the blog!

The Photographer’s Eye, by Michael Freeman, is a great book for anyone wanting to learn/improve their photography skills.  Freeman shares about filling the frame, lines, motion, color relationships, and all sorts of other wonderful tools photographers use to make a compelling photograph.  I really enjoyed reading it through, and am wanting to share that joy with one lucky blog reader!

So here’s what you do: just leave a comment on this post, and say what you would like to learn about photography!  Super easy, right?

This contest will be open now through Thursday night (midnight Eastern Time) and I will announce the winner Friday.  (The winner will be chosen by a random generator.)

Good luck!

Oooooo! Fun! Pick me, pick me!

I am constantly trying to learn new things about photography through exploring someone elses work….I think each photographer has their own special style and so much can be learned about composition, perspective and story telling by studying their work. I could use some of that new perspective!!!!

Not that I don’t get inspiration from my favorite photographer in Durham…..and yes, I am shamelessly trying to butter you up! (doesn’t mean it’s not true!)

I’d like to learn how to take a picture that 10 different people could look at, and see 10 different things.

The giveaway! Teehee I think I might be giving away some oragami creations to someone soon on my channel. BUT ANYWAYS. I want to learn more about non-portrait photography (i.e. when things are in motion, how to wait for the perfect shot).

:)
