Spring is here!
We’ve had some days in the 80′s, although it got down to the 30′s last night. What is up with that?? (Cue the SNL music, “ooh-eee! what’s up with that? what’s up with that?”) One thing I’ve noticed about living in NC is that after a cold winter, spring is that much more glorious. However, the month of March is pretty much crazy, weather-wise. Someone said March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. I think it really just goes up and down like a kangaroo!
Which brings me to this month’s hugs + duds:
HUGS:
–Spring! New life budding everywhere, warm days… what more could you ask for?
–Weekend trips and baby showers: I’m going to see a friend from college who is pregnant with her first baby, and get to take a little road trip in the process! I’ve never been to Wilmington before, but I hear it’s fabulous. PLUS, she’s hired me to take her maternity photos, which I am so excited about!
–Thunderstorms: so this probably goes along with spring, but I just love a good thunderstorm. We had one the other night, and it was so nice to be inside and listen to the rain hit the window panes. I could almost hear the grass and flowers cheering!
DUDS:
–SUPER-white skin: I’m realizing that what I look like in March while living in the Bahamas is a lot different from me living here… and I will absolutely blind you with my white skin. I’ve spent a bit of time outside this week, so at this point I may have advanced to off-white, but you get the picture…
–Duke losing. I know they’re my #3 team (after FSU and Kansas), but I was starting to get pumped about them, and they lost to ARIZONA last night. I know everybody likes a good upset, but couldn’t it have been another team that was upset? (Plus, it really messed with my bracket!)
