Falling in Love with Fall

Ok, so I’m one of those weirdos whose favorite season is winter.  I love Christmas, snow, and my birthday– and they all happen to happen in the wintertime.  But living in Durham has pulled me toward a new favorite season…

FALL.

I know we lived here last year, and I very much enjoyed the fall, but something’s different.  Maybe it’s because we have our own place now, or perhaps it has just taken me some time, but fall is quickly rising on my “favorite seasons” list.  How many seasons fit in with pumpkin-flavored treats?  (Above is a photo of our tree outside and pumpkin bread that I made, first of the season!)

I mean, just take a look around our yard:

If that doesn’t welcome our trick-or-treaters, I don’t know what will!

What’s your favorite season?  Has it changed over your lifetime?

love the photos and fall! my favorite season, though, is undeniably spring! after a long and miserable winter spent here in new england, i find myself eyeing my non-wellies-type shows with anticipation come february, hoping for spring sunshine and flowers as soon as we turn the corner into march. but fall is gorgeous too!! :) (missing you!)
