About three months ago, my friend Kimmi told me I needed to watch this show. Now, as a Netflix instant-watcher, that last thing I need is to get hooked on one more show. However, Kimmi does not lead friends astray, and so we watched the first episode of Downton Abby together. Ever since that beautiful December day, I have become such an avid fan that you’d think BBC was paying me as a PR person. Seriously! I don’t know how the show hasn’t made it to the blog yet (probably because we’ve been busy with this and this), but here we are. If you’re not a fan yet, please. Watch it. It’s even as good for you as reading a book.
…which brings me to my list of HUGS + DUDS for the month!

HUGS go to:
–DOWNTON ABBY: Need I really say more?
–Weekend “Mom” visits: My mama is coming for my birthday next weekend, and I absolutely cannot wait to see her!!
–Warmer-than-usual winters: Now I know everyone is scared that this is somehow going to bite us later, but I am absolutely LOVING 60-degree January and February days. No complaints here, folks!
DUDS go to:
–People telling me I don’t look pregnant: Yes, I know, it seems like a compliment… but it makes me almost cry every time. When a girl has been waiting her whole life for a baby bump and is halfway to her due date, she wants to show off that bump! (That’s why I haven’t posted any progress photos yet. I can’t bear to think of people chiming in over the internet, “You can’t possibly be due in July.” I am. I promise.)
–Winter viruses: Even though our weather hasn’t behaved like a full-blown winter, I still somehow have caught some kind of yuck. It’s in the tail end now, thankfully, but it’s even less fun being sick when you can’t take any meds. Yikes!
And since I haven’t posted my canine baby on the blog recently, I’ll leave you with greetings from Wes. (he gets sad when I’m sick… can you tell?)
