Alright, it’s confession time: I went to Hawaii this month.
The crazy thing was, it wasn’t on my calendar three months ago– really! It has been such a crazy season for us, and I had no intention of doing any continuing ed for my business this year. It just didn’t seem like it would fit into our plans. But Kristen Kalp had other ideas…
She co-led the FIND 2.0 workshop that I attended back in 2013, and I simply loved it. I learned more in two and a half days there than I could have imagined. She is the queen of making business work for you, both in the numbers sense and the heart sense. I appreciated her honesty, kindness, and all-around love of life. So when I found out she was having a Find Your Voice workshop, I immediately emailed her. “I want to go!” Everything in me said it was crazy, but through countless details falling into place, most importantly childcare (thanks, Mom and Dad!) and Mike’s unwavering support, I booked my ticket and found myself on a plane just a month later.
So what is Find Your Voice? It’s a three-night, two day workshop (but felt more like a retreat) with others who also need to take a look at their business from a distance. It’s insight into your hopes and goals from someone who has an uncanny knack for observation and spot-on advice. It’s a chance to get away from emails, phone calls, etc. and pour focused time into where you want to go. It’s like a jolt of caffeine for your business!
This workshop happened to be all ladies, and I’m so grateful for the ways these incredible women shared their stories and encouraged me in mine. To say I learned so much would be a massive understatement, but it’s all I can manage right now. Thank you, Kristen, for a meaningful, growth-filled experience.
